Text message program
Last updated July 29, 2026
Whitetulip Health Foundation Inc. runs a text message program for its clinic volunteers, about the shifts they are scheduled for. This page describes it.
The program has not started. No message has been sent to anyone yet, and none will be sent until carrier registration is complete. Nobody is enrolled today: the app will ask you to agree, for each clinic separately, before it sends you anything.
Program name
Whitetulip Volunteer Shift Alerts
Who receives messages
Volunteer staff of the clinic a message is about, who hold an active membership of that clinic and have agreed to be texted about it.
What we send
Shift reminders, schedule changes, cancellations, and a notice when you are taken off a shift. Nothing promotional, and no fundraising.
Message frequency
Varies with how often you are scheduled. Typically two to eight messages per month.
Cost
We charge nothing. Message and data rates may apply from your carrier.
How you opt in
Consent is given for one clinic at a time and covers that clinic alone. A clinic may text you only about the shifts you are scheduled for at that clinic, and only if you have agreed to hear from it. Agreeing for one clinic enrols you for no other: if you volunteer at two organizations on Clinical Scheduler, each asks separately, and neither can text you on the strength of the other's agreement.
The wording you will be asked to agree to, which is the same string the app will show and keep with your consent record, is:
“I agree to receive text messages about my scheduled shifts at your clinic. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
When consent capture is available, ticking that box will be the only way a number enters the program. It will never be ticked for you, and you can join a clinic and use the app without it. We will record the date, the exact wording shown, and the version of the form, and keep that record for five years. Changing your mobile number will clear the agreement and ask again — an agreement about one handset is not an agreement about another.
Where this stands today: account creation does not ask this question and does not enrol anyone. Per-clinic consent capture is not available yet. Each clinic will ask separately before the first message is sent, and nothing is sent in the meantime.
How you opt out
Reply STOP to any message. You may also reply QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or REVOKE. You will receive one confirmation and then nothing further.
Opting out is broader than opting in. Consent is per clinic, but a STOP reply stops every clinic on this platform from texting that number — you told us to stop texting the handset, not to stop texting on behalf of one organization. To leave one clinic's messages and keep another's, withdraw that clinic's agreement instead of replying STOP.
You can also write to whitetulip.clinic.md@gmail.com, or tell a clinic administrator in person or by email — any reasonable method counts, and we will honor it. That works before the program starts as well as after.
Opting out of texts does not remove you from the schedule and does not change your account. Your shifts stay in the app, which is where the schedule lives.
Text messages are one of three channels, and each is controlled separately under Notifications in the app. Push notifications are live in the installed app after you allow them on each device. Email preferences can be saved, but email delivery is temporarily unavailable and no email reminder is sent right now. Opting out of texts leaves both preferences alone, and turning either of those off has no effect on texts.
